77th Summer Meeting - June 2009
The United States Conference of Mayors held its 77th Summer Meeting in Providence, RI on June 12 through June 15, 2009. During the four-day event, Strauss Radio Strategies booked national and local radio interviews for 54 separate mayors. During the interviews, the mayors discussed federal stimulus money and green infrastructure investments.
Strauss Radio Strategies set up a total of 104 interviews while on site. Interview coverage reached 12 national outlets, 16 statewide news networks, one regional news network, and 75 local radio stations for a total of 28,532 radio outlet hits throughout the United States. The interviews were heard by at least 35,971,000 people nationwide (based on the latest data from Arbitron).
The interviews garnered a total of 1,040 airtime minutes and an ad equivalency value of $1,024,000. In other words, this radio tour reached over 36 million listeners and was valued at more than one million dollars.
